HOW I WORK

What to expect when you reach out.

There are no surprises here. This page tells you exactly how it works, what it costs, and what happens when you get in touch.

HOW IT WORKS

Three simple steps.

1

A free initial conversation

We start with a free 20-minute call. There's no commitment on either side — it's a chance for you to tell me a little about what's going on, ask anything you want to know about how I work, and for us both to get a sense of whether it feels right.

2

We agree how to work together

If we both feel it's a good fit, we'll talk about whether counselling or coaching — or a combination — is right for you, how often we'll meet, and whether you'd prefer sessions online or in person.

3

We begin, at your pace

Counselling: Sessions are 50 minutes. There's no fixed programme, no set number of sessions, and no agenda imposed from outside. The work moves at your pace — and in the direction that's most useful to you.

Coaching: Packages are tailored to your individual needs and goals, typically running over three to six months and starting from £720. We'll design the programme together based on what's most useful to you.

Reduced rates may be available for both counselling and coaching. Please don't let cost be a barrier — get in touch to discuss.

FAQs

Common questions.

What's the difference between counselling and coaching?

Counselling tends to focus on understanding and processing what's behind the way you feel, past experiences, patterns, relationships. Coaching is more forward-looking: it's about where you're going and what's getting in the way. In practice, the two often overlap, and I'm trained in both, so we can let the work go where it needs to go.

Do I need to know which one I need before I get in touch?

Not at all. That's exactly what the initial conversation is for. Many people aren't sure, and that's completely fine.

How many sessions will I need?

There's no fixed number. Some people find clarity in a handful of sessions; others work with me over a longer period. We'll review regularly and you decide when you're ready to stop.

Do you offer sessions in Mandarin?

Yes. Sessions can be conducted in English, Mandarin, or a mix of both — whatever helps you express yourself most clearly.

How quickly will you respond when I get in touch?

I aim to respond to all enquiries within two working days.
