ABOUT YAN FOYE

Whatever brought you here, you don't have to figure it out alone.

Maybe you've been stuck for a while, in a situation, a feeling, or a version of yourself that no longer fits. Maybe life looks fine from the outside but inside something is missing, or something is wrong, and you can't quite name it. If any of that sounds familiar, you're in the right place.

I know what it feels like to stand at that crossroads. During my own career transition, I found myself asking the same questions my clients bring to me whether to stay in a corporate environment, pursue something different, or step out on my own. It felt exciting and uncertain in equal measure, and sometimes frightening. What I needed was a dedicated space to think things through properly. I couldn't find that, so I built it.

I'm Yan Foye, a counsellor and executive coach. I was born and raised in China and have been living and building my career in the UK for the past 30 years. My own experiences of navigating career change, different cultures and major life transitions have shaped how I work and the understanding I bring to my practice.

MY APPROACH

I work with adults on a one-to-one basis, bringing together counselling and coaching to support the whole person.

I work with professionals facing redundancy or career crossroads, people carrying the weight of difficult pasts, and Chinese students and professionals navigating pressures that most people around them can't fully see. I understand those pressures - professionally, personally, and culturally because I've carried versions of them myself. My training spans both counselling and coaching, which means I can work with the whole person and follow the conversation wherever it needs to go.

I hold a Professional Certificate in Executive Coaching from Henley Business School and am a qualified therapeutic counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (member 416291).

Sessions with me are warm, honest, and unhurried. There's no agenda to push through and no judgement about where you are or how long you've been there. I'll be alongside you, curious, not prescriptive while you work out what you're carrying, what you want, and what getting there might look like.
